Car Detailing & Ceramic Coating in Somerset County, NJ

Detail Jockey brings mobile detailing to driveways and office lots across Somerset County, from Hillsborough and Somerville to Bridgewater, Warren and Basking Ridge. Ceramic coating is done indoors at our studio at 17 Jockey Ln, Flemington, NJ 08822, a short drive west. Interior and exterior details start at $350.

In our Flemington studio

Ceramic coating, worth the short drive

Ceramic coating is the one service we do not bring to you. Paint has to be washed, decontaminated and corrected, and the coating has to cure somewhere clean and dry. A driveway in Bridgewater on a humid July afternoon is not that place. You drop the car with us, we coat it indoors, and you collect it once it has cured. Most of Somerset County is 20 to 35 minutes away.

Coating is quoted after we inspect the paint, with the price set by vehicle size, paint condition and coating tier. See ceramic coating at our Flemington studio, or read what ceramic coating costs in NJ.

At your home or office

Mobile detailing across the county

Interior and exterior details, paint correction, headlight restoration and engine bays all come to you. We bring the equipment and normally just need access to a tap and an outlet. A lot of our Somerset work happens in office parks while people are at their desks, which is the easiest way to get a car done without losing a Saturday.

Somerset County sits inside our standard local region, so there is no travel charge for these towns. More on how mobile detailing works.

What Somerset County driving does to paint

Somerset is commuter country. Most of the cars we see here spend their week on Route 22, Route 206, I-78 and I-287, and the damage follows a pattern:

  • Highway film and tar. Daily miles on 22 and 287 leave a bonded film that a normal wash will not lift. It needs decontamination, which is also the first step before any coating.
  • Road salt and brine. The main routes are pre-treated all winter. Salt sits on rockers, wheel wells and the underside. Our NJ road salt guide covers the washing routine that actually helps.
  • Swirl marks from tunnel washes. Plenty of commuters use automatic washes near the corridors, and the spinning brushes leave the fine scratches you see under sunlight. That is what paint correction removes.
  • Sap, pollen and bird droppings. The wooded parts of Warren, Watchung and Basking Ridge are hard on clear coat, especially on cars parked outside all week.
  • Construction dust. Ongoing work along Route 206 through Hillsborough and Montgomery coats cars in fine grit that scratches if wiped dry.

For a leased car, the swirls and etching are worth sorting before the return inspection. For a car you are keeping, correcting the paint first and then coating it is the combination that holds up; our guide on why prep matters before coating explains how we judge how much correction a car needs.

Somerset County detailing FAQ

Do you cover all of Somerset County?

We work across Somerset County for every mobile service: Hillsborough, Somerville, Raritan, Bridgewater, Branchburg, Warren, Watchung, Basking Ridge, Bedminster, Manville, Bound Brook and the Montgomery and Franklin areas. Ceramic coating is the exception, because it is done at our studio in Flemington.

How far is your studio from Bridgewater or Somerville?

About 25 minutes from either one, mostly along Route 202 or Route 22. Hillsborough is about 20 minutes, Basking Ridge and Warren about 35. That is the drive for a ceramic coating drop-off; everything else we bring to you.

Can you detail at my office in a corporate park?

Yes, and it is one of the most convenient ways to do it. We work in office lots across Bridgewater, Basking Ridge and Bedminster while people are at their desks. Let us know if the lot has any restrictions on outside vendors, and whether there is a tap and an outlet nearby.

Do you handle flood or water damage in cars?

We handle wet carpets, mildew smell and trapped moisture, which come up often around Manville and Bound Brook. That is interior detailing with extraction, and for mold or heavy mildew see our mold remediation service. Insurance-level flood damage is a different job, and we will tell you honestly if a car is past what detailing can fix.

Why can ceramic coating not be done at my house?

Coatings need a clean, dry, controlled space to bond and cure. Dust, pollen, dew or a sudden shower during curing ruins the finish. So the car comes to our studio, gets washed, decontaminated, corrected and coated, and then cures indoors before you collect it.

What are your hours?

We are open 24/7, and you can book online any time. Call (908) 489-6699 if you would rather talk it through.
