Why It Matters
Healthier Cabin
Mold spores circulate through your vents every time the fan runs. Removing the growth, not masking it, is what clears the air you breathe.
Odor Gone, Not Covered
Ozone treatment reaches the fabric, foam, and vent passages that cleaning alone cannot, so the musty smell does not come back.

Mold in a Car Starts With Moisture
Mold needs three things to grow: moisture, something organic to feed on, and time. A car interior supplies all three. Carpet padding, seat foam, and fabric hold water long after the surface feels dry, and a closed cabin traps humidity.
A sunroof left cracked during a storm, a leaking door or window seal, a flooded footwell, or a clogged A/C drain can all start a colony that you first notice only as a musty smell.
Air fresheners and a quick vacuum do not solve it. The growth lives inside the padding and the seams, and it keeps releasing spores and odor every time the heat or A/C runs. Clearing it takes a treatment that reaches those layers, followed by sanitizing the whole cabin.
How We Remove It
We start with a full inspection to find where the moisture and growth are worst, then apply a dedicated mold remediation treatment to affected areas. Seats and carpets are shampooed and extracted to pull the treated contamination out rather than leaving it in the fabric. The interior is vacuumed twice, and every surface is wiped down, with plastics cleaned and protected.
The final step is an ozone treatment. Ozone travels through the cabin, into the foam, the vent passages, and the places a brush or extractor cannot reach, neutralizing the odor-causing bacteria and spores left behind. The vehicle is treated while unoccupied and aired out afterward.
Fix the Source, or It Comes Back
Remediation removes the mold that is there. It cannot stop new moisture from getting in. If we find signs of a leak, such as a stained headliner around the sunroof, a wet footwell, or a door seal that has failed, we will tell you so you can have it repaired. Otherwise a cleaned cabin can grow mold again in a few weeks.

Common Questions: Mold Remediation
How do I know my car has mold?
A musty or sour smell that returns after cleaning is the most common sign. You may also see white, green, or black spotting on carpets, seat seams, or the headliner, or notice the smell when the heat or A/C first comes on.
Where does mold in a car come from?
Moisture. The usual causes are a leaking sunroof drain, window seal, or door seal, a flooded footwell, wet items left in the cabin, or a clogged A/C drain. Fixing the leak matters as much as cleaning the mold, or it will return.
Do you come to me for mold remediation?
Yes. Mold remediation is a mobile service, so we treat the vehicle at your home or workplace.
What does ozone treatment do?
Ozone reaches into fabric, foam, and vent passages to neutralize odor-causing bacteria and mold spores that surface cleaning cannot reach. The vehicle is treated while unoccupied and aired out afterward.
Is this different from a regular interior detail?
Yes. An interior detail cleans and refreshes. Mold remediation adds a dedicated mold treatment and ozone sanitizing on top of deep cleaning, which is what a moisture-damaged cabin needs.
