This policy explains what information Detail Jockey LLC ("Detail Jockey", "we", "us") collects through detailjockey.com and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect only what we need to book and perform your detail.
Information you give us
When you request a quote, book an appointment, call, text, message us on WhatsApp, or email us, we may collect:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Your vehicle's make and model
- Your city, ZIP code, or the address where you want the service performed
- The service, date, and time you choose, and any extras or notes you add
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use analytics tools provided by Google, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site. These tools can use cookies and collect details such as the pages you view, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. Our contact page shows an embedded Google Map, which Google may also use to set cookies.
The site also saves a small note in your browser when you close our special offer pop-up, so it does not keep appearing. That note stays on your device and is not sent to us.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request, confirm your appointment, and perform the service
- To contact you about your booking, including changes to the date or time
- To keep records of the work we have done for you
- To understand how the website is used and improve it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We share information only with companies that help us run the website and the business, and only so they can do that work:
- Web3Forms, which delivers form submissions to our inbox
- Supabase, which stores appointment requests made through our booking calendar
- Google, for website analytics and the embedded map
- Our website hosting provider
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and contact details for as long as we need them to serve you and to keep ordinary business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices
- Ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us below.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to booking records is limited to Detail Jockey. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or other sensitive information through our forms.
Children
Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
